The ‘Inflation’ Consumer Price Index for the first nine months of 2020 has increased by 0.48%, to reach 101.04 points, compared to 100.56 for the same period in 2019, according to a monthly report from the Department of Statistics released on Sunday.

According to the report, the general Consumer Price Index for September 2020 increased by 0.10%, reaching 101.00 points compared to 100.90 points in September 2019.

On a monthly level, the general Consumer Price Index for September 2020 increased by 0.34%, to reach 101.00 points compared to 100.66 in the previous month.

In addition, the report included that the Consumer Price Index for September 2020, which is measured by excluding the most volatile commodities such as food, petrol, electricity and transportation, has increased by 0.15%, to reach 68.55 points compared to 68.45 points in September 2019.

On a cumulative level, the basic Consumer Price Index for the first nine months of 2020 has reached 68.38 points compared to 67.83 within the same period last year, recording an increase of 0.81%.
