Traffic jams have been reported in many of Amman's main streets on the morning after the two-day total lockdown, according to Google Maps on Sunday Morning.

Citizens complained about being late to work, spending more time than usual getting from one place to another and taking backroads but failing to escape traffic.

Local authorities said the traffic jams are due to the two-day lockdown which ended at 6am and also due to the Amman Bus Rapid Transit traffic diversions.
