A total of 28,950 active coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan, according to Worldometer on Saturday.

The total number of positive cases reported since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis reached 36,053, only 6,773 of which have recovered and 330 died.

The Minister of Health, Nathir Obeidat, said it is important to regularly assess and update the treatment protocol in order to deal with the coronavirus crisis based on the developing COVID-19 situation.

This includes updating public health measures and quality control procedures in all hospitals, according to the health situation at each stage.

In a meeting with public hospital directors and the Secretary General for the Ministry of Health, Amman Al-Shurafa, Obeidat stressed the importance of preparing hospital and healthcare providers to receive coronavirus patients while abiding by health and safety measures to protect staff members and citizens.
