Syria has recorded 56 new coronavirus cases, three deaths and 31 recoveries over the past 24 hours, announced the Syrian Ministry of Health, on Saturday.

This announcement brings the total number of deaths to 241, recoveries to 1,456 and cases to 4,987, since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.

Syria recorded the first coronavirus case which involved an expatriate on March 22. While the first COVID-19 death was confirmed on March 29.
