The two-day total lockdown which was imposed on all governorates in Jordan, will finish tonight at 1 AM and will be followed by the normal overnight curfew starting at 1 AM until 6 AM on Sunday.
This lockdown, which started at 1 AM on Friday, aimed to reduce the number of cases and make the work of COVID-19 investigation teams easier.
In addition, citizens were not allowed to leave their houses, including those who have been issued permits. The only people excluded from the lockdown were health investigation teams, medical and nursing staff, and a limited number of essential workers in different sectors.
Jordan has recorded 28 deaths and 1,539 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, 1,523 of which are local cases.
