One death, 397 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded one death and 397 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai al-Kileh, on Friday.

The death involves a 79-year-old citizen in Hebron.

The recovery rate stands at 87.6%, while the active cases rate is 11.6%, and the death rate is 0.8%.

The new coronavirus cases included: 35 in Hebron, 35 in Nablus, 34 in Bethlehem, 20 in Jenin, 36 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 18 in Qalqilya, five in Tubas, 24 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, 43 in Tulkarm, 74 in Gaza Strip, 10 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and  63 in Jerusalem City.

A total of 286 recovery cases involved: 144 in Hebron, 34 in Jenin, 43 in Tulkarem, 14 in Qalqilya, 51 in Nablus, 50 in Gaza Strip and 106 in Jerusalem City.

Currently, 41 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.
