The local authorities have shut down 20 establishments for violating Defence Laws across the Kingdom, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Thursday.

The government has also issued official warnings to 174 facilities and 68 individuals for non-compliance with Defence Laws.

A total of 2,086 inspections were conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Jordan Food and Drug Administration(JFDA) and the Ministry of Local Administration.

The of Industry and Trade conducted 406 inspections and issued official warnings to 10 facilities as well as 63 citizens.

GAM conducted 210 inspections and issued official warnings to 50 facilities as well as five citizens.

The Ministry of Local Administration conducted 1,350 inspections, shut down 10 facilities and issued official warnings to 63 others.

The JFDA conducted 120 inspections, shut down 10 facilities and issued official warnings to 51 others.
