More than 26,000 active COVID-19 cases in Jordan

A total of 26,162 active coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan, based on the Governments COVID-19 announcement on Thursday. 

Only 1,019 of these cases are currently receiving treatment at Jordanian hospitals.

Over the past week, between October 9-15, the country recorded 138 deaths, 11,436 new local cases and 54 cases coming from abroad, according to the Prime Ministry's daily report.

The Kingdom has also recorded 6,565 recorvery cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis. 

Jordan has recorded a total of 33,009 positive cases and 282 deaths since the beginning of the crisis in March.

These numbers put the Kingdom in 77th place in terms of the number of COVID-19 cases, according to Worldometer.
