There are no plans for a 14-day total lockdown in Jordan, announced the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Ali Al-Ayed via the government's Right to Know online platform, on Thursday.

At this stage, the government will only impose a 48-hour lockdown on a weekly basis starting 1 AM every Friday.

The government also announced that rumours claiming that the government intends to pay employees' salaries on October 18 and 19, ahead of a two-week lockdown, are false.

Salaries will be paid as scheduled every month, as there are no plans for a long total lockdown in the Kingdom.
