Rumours regarding a 30-day total lockdown in Jordan are false, said the official spokesperson for the government, Ali Al-Ayed, on Tuesday. 

The announcement came after the false news circulated across social media platforms.

The government has held a series of meeting and has not discussed a month-long lockdown as an option, he said.
