The total lockdown and isolation period has been extended in Ain Al-Basha area in Balqa until Thursday, October 15, announced the Committee of Sustainable Work, Production and Supply Chains on Sunday.

The decision was made based on recommendations by the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management after COVID-19 investigation teams reported that the number of daily positive cases remained approximately the same despite lockdown measures.

The relevant authorities will continue monitoring COVID-19 indicators in the isolated area and tighten control on compliance with precautionary measures, especially wearing facemasks and social distancing.
