15 deaths, 1,235 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan

Jordan has recorded 15 deaths and 1,235 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, 1.227 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 23,998.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 181.

The new cases are: 

  • 742 in Amman.
  • 97 in Karak.
  • 35 in Maan, including 15 in Petra.
  • 24 in Jerash.
  • Nine in Madaba.
  • Seven in Aqaba.
  • 200 in Zarqa.
  • 59 in Irbid, including 17 in Ramtha.
  • 31 in Balqa.
  • Eight in Ajlun.
  • 13 in Mafraq.
  • Two in Tafilah.
  • Eight people who have travelled from abroad.

A total of 139 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan, 18 have been discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, 106 from the isolation areas in the Dead Sea region, 10 from Queen Alia Military Hospital and five from private hospitals.

A total of 12,280 PCR tests have been conducted on Saturday, bringing the total number to 1,399,752.
