A total of 590 people violated lockdown since it started on 12am on Friday across the Kingdom, reported the Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Friday.

The appropriate legal measures have been taken against those who did not comply.

The PSD called on citizens to abide by health and safety measures to avoid legal consequences and call 911 in case of emergencies.

The two-day weekly lockdown was imposed following an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Jordan.
