The six most dangerous public places to contract coronavirus have been revealed by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The places are restaurants, salons, offices, cafes, gyms and places of religious gatherings.

Over the course of a month, COVID-19 patients who had symptoms were examined by the CDC.

Further examinations were conducted on those who visited a variety of public places, which led to contracting the virus.

  • 40.9% have visited restaurants during the two-weeks prior to testing positive for COVID-19
  • 24% went to offices
  • 15.6% visited hair salons or barber shops
  • 8.5% went to cafes or bars
  • 7.8% went to gyms
  • 7.8% attended religious gatherings at places of worship
