The total lockdown in Baqaa camp, New Zarqa and Al-Batrawi areas in Zarqa, and Eil District in Maan has been extended until Monday, announced the Committee on Sustainable Work, Production and Supply Chains on Wednesday.

The decision was made based on recommendations from the Crisis Management Cell. This decision came after an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in these areas.

In addition, the possibility of extending the lockdown will be discussed during the next week.

Jordan has recorded 1,199 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 1,190 of which are local cases.
