Ministry of Health announces cost of COVID-19 isolation rooms at private hospitals

The cost of one COVID-19 isolation room at Jordanian private hospitals ranges between JD 100-250, announced the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, on Monday.

The prices are as follows:

 

  • First class room                                                  JD 250
  • Shared room                                                       JD 150
  • Isolation room for one child                              JD 200
  • The cost for those accompanying children       JD 100

The items and services will be added as extras to the bill:

  • Added accommodation services
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Radiographs
  • Immune-boosting drugs
  • Treatment of symptoms associated with the pathogen
  • Respiratory supervision
  • Psychiatric Consultation
  • Transfers
  • Medical supplies and consumables
  • Intensive Care Unit (prices vary based on the hospital)
The average length of stay is 10 days, based on decisions by the National Committee for Epidemics.
 
Patients who do not have any symptoms should stay for 10 days, while those who show symptoms should complete 13.
 
Patients must not show any symptoms for three days to be discharged.
