The health situation in the Kingdom is very dangerous and the continuous increasing in COVID-19 infections will cause a collapse in the health system, said the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, on Thursday.

If the number of local infections exceeds 3,000 cases daily, the country will enter a 'high risk' stage of COVID-19, Adaileh added.

In addition, Adaileh added hospitals can deal with the current number of coronavirus infections, noting that 90% of cases do not require health care.

Jordan has recorded 1,776 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 1,765 of which are local cases.
