People are in denial about the coronavirus crisis, which will lead to "mass suicide", said a member of the National Committee for Epidemics, Wael Al Hayajneh, on Roya’s Nabd Albalad on Wednesday.

"Jordanian society still does not believe in coronavirus,” he said.

Citizens will pay the price when the number of cases rises to thousands, unless we reach a certain level of discipline, he added.

He expects an increase in the number of positive cases in the coming few days.
