Eight deaths, 321 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 321 new COVID-19 cases and eight deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Wednesday.

The deaths involved two in Hebron, one in Bethlehem, three in Jerusalem, one in Ramallah and al-Bireh and one in Qalqilya.

The recovery rate stands at 81.6%, while the active cases rate is 17.7%, and the death rate is 0.7%.

The new coronavirus cases included: 73 in Hebron, 35 in Nablus, 46 in Bethlehem, nine in Qalqilya, 32 in Ramallah and Bireh, 35 in Jenin, four in Salfit, 22 in Jericho and Aghwar, 39 in Tulkaram, seven in Tubas, 37 in Gaza Strip, 17 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 68 in Jerusalem city (over the past two days).

A total of 571 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine: 182 in Hebron, 36 in Jenin, 93 in Nablus, 30 in Qalqilya, 41 in Tulkarem, 17 in Salfit, 172 in Bethlehem, 319 in Jerusalem city and 125 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 39 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and 14 are on ventilators.
