A total of 24 schools have suspended attendance and switched to remote learning — including 12 public schools, six private schools and six UNRWA schools, announced the Ministry of Education on Monday.

A total of 15 public and private schools have completed the two-week suspension of attendance due to coronavirus.

The total number of schools that have suspended attendance due to positive COVID-19 cases, among students or staff members, or for being located in isolated areas has reached 387.

The number of schools that are currently completing the 14-day suspension of attendance is 256.

The positive cases include 201 students, 144 teachers, 12 clients, and seven employees in four different education directorates.

All positive cases have contracted the virus from infected individuals outside the schools.
