Two schools and one ICU shut down due to COVID-19

Two schools, one in Ajloun and one in Jerash, and one Intensive Care Unit in Jordan Valley have been shut down on Sunday.

The health investigation committee in Ajloun shut down a school for boys in Kafranjah  and another in Jerash after students students tested positive for coronavirus.

Both schools switched to distance learning for a period of 14 days.

Samples have been taken from those who came into contact with the infected children, including neighbours and teachers to prevent the spread of the virus.

The schools has been disinfected and the relevant authorities are calling on citizens to adhering to defense orders by wearing facemasks and gloves.

The Intensive Care Unit at Abu Obeida Hospital in the northern Jordan Valley has been shut down due to COVID-19.
