The total number of buildings that have been isolated in Amman since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic reached 446, the city's governor, Saad Shehab, told Roya on Monday.

However, security services have lifted the isolation on 259 buildings in the capital and 151 buildings remained isolated, Shehab added.

The isolated buildings are located in:

• University District: 40
• Marka District: 37
• Qasaba: 32
• Qweismeh: 27
• Wadi Al-Seer: 13
• Al-Muwaqqar: one
• Naour: one

In addition, Shehab added, if there is an isolated building in an area, the Coronavirus Crisis Management Cell isolate the whole area.

Jordan has recorded 239 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 231 of which are local cases.
