School in Jerash shuts down following COVID-19 case

A private school in Jerash has been shut down after a student tested positive for COVID-19, announced the city's governor, Firas Abu Qaud, on Sunday.

The student contracted the virus after coming into contact with another positive case, Abu Qaud added. The COVID-19 investigation teams are working on isolating the house of the infected.

Jordan has recorded 239 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 231 of which are local cases.
