Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, Minister of Health, Saad Jaber and the spokesman for National Committee for Epidemics, Nathir Obaidat, held a press briefing at the Prime Ministry on Sunday.

The Council of Ministers said that we need to continue operating in compliance with health and safety measures, Adaileh said.

Adaileh added, Quality and Consumer Protection Laws for the year 2020 have been approved by the council, noting that therefore three other laws are cancelled, which are: the Standards and Metrology Law, the Competition Law, and the Consumer Protection Law.

A total of new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Jordan on Sunday, of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 4,779, Jaber said.

In addition, 172 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan on Sunday, Jaber added

A total of 13,437 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning coronavirus crisis to 1,070,621.
