Nine deaths, 683 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 683 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Sunday.

The deaths reported involved four citizens in Hebron, one in Bethlehem and four in Tulkarm. 

The recovery rate stands at 69.3%, while the active cases rate is 30%, and the death rate is 0.7%.

The new coronavirus cases included: 115 in Hebron, 86 in Nablus, 53 in Bethlehem, 20 in Qalqilya, 120 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 50 in Jenin, 24 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, nine in Tubas, 16 in Salfit, 43 in Tulkarm, 45 in Gaza Strip and 102 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 254 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine: 130 in Hebron, 32 in Jenin, 29 in Tulkarm, 31 in Qalqilya, two in Salfit and 30 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 42 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and nine are on ventilators.
