196 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 191 local cases

A total of 196 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Jordan on Saturday, 191 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 4,540.

The cases are:

• 88 cases in Amman

• 44 cases in Zarqa

• 23 cases in Balqaa

• Seven cases in Irbid

• 10 cases in Karak

• 10 cases in Jerash

• One in Ramtha

• Three in Tafilah

• Three in Madaba

• One in Maan

• One in Ajloun

• Five people who travelled from abroad who are currently staying in hotel quarantine.

One COVID-19 death has been recorded in Jordan on Saturday, involving a patient at Jameel AlTotangi Hospital.

The total COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 30.

A total of 161 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan on Saturday— Two were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, 156 from isolation areas in the Dead Sea, and three from Queen Alia Military Hospital.

A total of 11,484 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning coronavirus crisis to 1,057,184.
