Ahmed Al-Shakhanbeh, the student who lit himself on fire on a private university campus, did it in the university president's office, his father told Roya on Saturday.

A housekeeping staff member started cleaning the office and firniture  and the effects of the fire instead of saving his son from the fire.

The father accused the university’s administration of hiding all facts and videos, and changing the decor of the president's office to hide all evidence related to the incident.

Shakhanbeh indicated that the university has not contacted him directly yet or asked about his son's health condition.

The university refused to allow the student to sit for his final exams due to a sum of money he own in tuition fees.

The father explained that his son is still under anesthesia and that the medical staff gave him hope about his son's health.
