Eight deaths, 692 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 692 new COVID-19 cases and eight deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Friday.

The deaths reported involved two citizens in Nablus, one in Hebron, one in Bethlehem, one in Qalqilya, one in Khan Yunis and two in Jerusalem.

The recovery rate stands at 70.3%, while the active cases rate is 29.1%, and the death rate is 0.6%.

The new coronavirus cases included: 131 in Hebron, 15 in Nablus, 59 in Bethlehem, 18 in Qalqilya, 97 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 34 in Jenin, 29 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, seven in Tubas, 14 in Salfit, 49 in Tulkarm, 47 in Gaza Strip, 58 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 134 in Jerusalem.

A total of 400 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine: 185 in Hebron, 18 in Tulkarm, 12 in Tubas, 10 in Salfit, 127 in Jerusalem and 48 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 40 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and seven are on ventilators.
