Animals testing positive for the virus is something possible and reports in this regard were previously issued by some countries, said the spokesman for National Committee for Epidemics, Nathir Obaidat, on Friday.

However, there is still no evidence that animals can transmit COVID-19 infection to humans, added Obaidat.

In addition, Obaidat said pet owners should wash their hands before and after handling and feeding their pets, take caution and use various preventive measures.
