Seven schools switch to online education

Seven schools have switched to distance learning— for first, second, third, eleventh and twelfth graders— for 14 days due to COVID-19, announced the Ministry of Education on Thursday.

The decision involves three public schools and four private schools, one of which suspended attendence as a precaution.

A total of 169 schools switched to online learning, 106 of which suspended attendence after cases were recorded among students or staff members and 63 schools for being located in isolated areas without injuries, a total of 

A total of 89 students have tested positive for coronavirus, in addition to 53 teachers, seven customers and three employees of education directorates.

All patients have been in contact other positive cases outside the schools.
