175 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 171 local cases

A total of 175 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Jordan on Wednesday, 171 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 3,852.

The cases are:

• 96 cases in Amman 

• 13 cases in Zarqa

• 19 cases in Balqaa

• 16 cases in Irbid

• 20 cases in Karak 

• Five in Mafraq

• Two in Madaba

• Four people who travelled from abroad who are currently staying in hotel quarantine.

A total of 38 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan on Saturday— four were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, 29 from isolation areas in the Dead Sea, three from Queen Alia Military Hospital and two from private hospitals.

A total of 14,762 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning coronavirus crisis to 1,019,085.
