Friday prayer might be held in mosques, announced the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mohammad al-Khalaileh, on Tuesday.
However, al-Khalaileh said the decision to hold Friday prayer depends on the COVID-19 situation in the country.
Mosques in Jordan will shut down for a period of 14 days starting Thursday, announced the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in a press briefing on Monday.
The decision came after an unexpected number of coronavirus cases has been recorded and to eliminate the need for total lockdown in Jordan.
