A medical laboratory in Irbid has been shut down on Monday evening, following COVID-19 cases, announced the city's health director, Riyad al-Sheyyab, on Tuesday.

Ten coronavirus cases were recorded among the laboratorty's staff up until Tuesday morning, al-Sheyyab added.

In addition, al-Sheyyab added the laboratory has been sterillized and disinfected, and it will reopen after 72 hours with a new staff.

The laboratory offer premarital screening and other services.
