Mosques will shut down for a period of 14 days starting Thursday, announced the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, on Monday.
These decision came after an unexpected number of coronavirus cases has been recorded and to eliminate the need for total lockdown in Jordan.
The announcement was made during a press briefing held at the Prime Ministry on Monday.
