The Maadi Secondary School for Boys has been shut down after a student tested positive for coronavirus, announced the Director of Education in Deir Alla, Sami Al-Wahsh, on Monday.

The school will switch to distant learning for a period of 14 days, in accordance with protocols set by the Ministry of Education to maintain the health and safety of students.

The relevant authorities has started disinfecting classes and other school facilities, he added.
