Two buildings were isolated in Mafraq after six people tested positive for COVID-19, the city's governor, Yaser al-Idwan, announced on Monday.

The six cases have contracted the virus after they attended a funeral in Mafraq and came into contact with a positive case, al-Idwan added.

COVID-19 investigation teams took samples from everyone who came into contact with the infected. All six cases will be transferred to quarantine areas in the Dead Sea region.
