A citizen has been arrested for hosting a graduation party with 40 invitees, said the governor of Zarqa, Hijazi Assaf, on Sunday.

The party violates defense orders as well as health and safety measures that were put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Assaf called on citizens to report any violations of defense orders, such as gatherings for more than 20 people or non-compliance with precautionary instructions.

He said, legal action will be taken against violators.
