A total of 152 COVID-19 samples were taken from people who attended a funeral in Mafraq, after they came into contact with a person who tested positive for coronavirus,  the city's health director, Hani Alaimat, told Roya on Sunday.

A COVID-19 investigation team was established immediately to conduct tests, Alaimat added.

In addition, a total of 30,000 samples were taken from people in Karak since the beginning of the crisis, he added.

Alaimat added the number of COVID-19 investigation teams in the governorate has been increased to 15.

However, he said the health situation in the governorate is stable.
