The Kidney Department at the South Shouneh hospital was shut down due to COVID-19 on Wednesday evening.

The positive case involves a female patient who visited the hospital with two other women, who had come into contact with other positive cases, said the director of the South Shouneh Hospital, Fayez Al-Kharabsheh.

The work in the department will resume on Friday morning, after the disinfection procedures are complete.

Samples are currently being taken from all dialysis patients and department staff members who were present at the department when the woman visited the hospital.
