A total of 16 buildings were isolated in Amman due to positive coronavirus cases, said the governor of Amman, Saad al-Shehab, on Monday.

The buildings are located in Dahiyet al-Haj Hasan, Sahab/ Abdaliya, Ashrafieh, Jabal al-Taj, Jabal al-Qalaa, Arjan, Sweileh, Dahiyet al-Aqsa, Northern Marka, Southern Marka, al-Bayader, Shafa Badran, University Street, Dahiyet Al Amir Hasan and two buildings in Jabal al-Naser, al-Shehab added.

All buildings have been disinfected to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and investigation teams are taking samples from all residents.

All the necessary precautionary measures were taken, including positioning policemen at the entrances to ensure no one enters or leaves the buildings.
