Three new local coronavirus cases have been recorded in Amman, Mafraq and Ramtha since the COVID-19 announcement on Saturday.

The first case involves an UNRWA school teacher in the capital and, as a result, two schools have been shut down for 14 days to prevent the spread of the virus.

The case recorded in mafraq is a security guard who works at Zarqa Governmantal Hospital.

The last case in Ramtha was found through random sampling tests and is currently under investigation to determine the source of infection.

Samples are currently being taken from all those who came into contact with the positive cases.
