A total of 13 buildings were isolated in Amman and one hair salon was shut down due to positive coronavirus cases, said the governor of Amman, Saad Al-Shehab, on Thursday.

The buildings are located in Jabal Amman, Khalda and Al-Muwaqqar, Downtown Amman, Tabarbour, Jubaiha, Sahab, Al-Wehdat and the Dahiyet Al-Haj Hasan 

The hair salon is located in Jordan University Street, he added.

All buildings have been disinfected to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and investigation teams are taking samples from all residents.

All the necessary precautionary measures were taken, including positioning policemen at the entrances to ensure no one enters or leaves the buildings.
