Control teams shut down more than 3,640 facilities and approximately 4,475 warnings have been issued since the start of lockdown and curfew measures in March, according to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply’s daily report on Wednesday.

Control teams, whose members exceed 2,400 people from different ministries and government institutions, continued their intensive monitoring efforts to ensure citizens comply with health and safety measures, said the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tariq Al-Hamouri.

Some citizens showed a lack of adherence to Defence Order number 11 as well as health and safety measures.

Hamouri stressed the importance of documenting all closures of non-compliant facilities for transparency purposes, regarding the implementation of defence orders.

He reiterated the need for citizens to distance themselves from each other, wear facemasks, and adhere to health and safety measures.
