A midwife who works at Zarqa Governmental Hospital has tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday evening, announced the hospital’s director, Mabrouk al-Surihin.

The maternity ward in the hospital was closed for sterilization purposes and samples were taken from everyone who came into contact with her, al-Surihin added.

The midwife contracted the virus after she came into contact with her cousin who tested positive for COVID-19, he added.
