The start of the academic year has been delayed in two neighbourhoods in the capital, announced the Ministry of Education, based on the recommendation from the National Committee for Epidemics, on Monday.

Attendence in public, private and UNRWA schools, in the Rabwah neighbourhood in Marka district and Al-Ashrafiya, has been suspended until further notice.

The Ministry called on students of schools in these two neighbourhoods to study from home through online platforms and official educational television channels.

The academic year will start on Tuesday in the rest of the Kingdom, as scheduled.
