Six tips for Jordanians to drive vehicles safely during the hot weather have been provided by The External Patrol Administration, ahead of the heatwave expected to hit the Kingdom.

Jordanians were advised on Saturday to open all doors and windows for a few minutes before driving, not to start the vehicle when the steering wheel is hot and to park the vehicle in shaded areas or to cover the windscreen.

Further advice included not leaving children or animals in the car, avoid filling the fuel tank completely, and to ensure the vehicle tyre pressure is correct.
