Two deaths, 724 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 724 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Friday.

The two deaths involved a 29-year-old in Kalandia camp and a 71-year-old in Balata camp in Nablus.

The new coronavirus cases include: 286 in Hebron, 19 in Nablus, 49 in Bethlehem, 34 in Qalqilya, 46 Ramallah and al-Bireh, four in Jenin, 10 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, two in Salfit, 16 in Tulkarem, two in Toubas, 57 in Gaza Strip (over the part 48 hours) and 199 in Jerusalem, including 57 in the suburbs.

A total of 164 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine, which include: five in Jenin, 75 in Nablus, 17 in Qalqilya, and 67 in Jerusalem.

At total of 4,115 PCR tests were conducted over the past 24 hours.

The recovery rate stands at 67.5%, while the active cases rate is 31.9%, and the death rate is 0.6%.

Currently, 40 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.
