The government is seeking to increase the number of quarantine rooms in hotels across Jordan, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Majd Shweikeh, said during a meeting with the hotel managers and owners across the Kingdom.

This came as a part of the government's plan to return Jordanian citizens and expatriates from abroad.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Imad Hijazin, and the President of the Jordan Hotel Association, Abdul Hakim Hindi, in which Shweikeh discussed the latest developments regarding the spike of COVID-19 cases in the country.

She said anyone who arrives from abroad will be quarantined and must adhere to all health measures which were stated by the Ministry of Health.
