Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, Minister of Health, Saad Jaber and Minister of Labor, Nidal Bataineh held a press conference at the Prime Ministry on Monday.

The press conference addressed the COVID-19 situation in Jordan and the country's plans to deal with the pandemic.

Jordan has entered the second wave of COVID-19, Adaileh said.

The government has updated its plans on reopening districts, cities and neighbourhoods, Adaileh said.

Curfew hours will be increased to start at 11pm for citizens and 10pm for restaurants from Tuesday, Adaileh said.

The lockdown in Ramtha will be lifted on Tuesday, due to the stable health status in the district, Adaileh said.

The decision to implement a full lockdown will be announced 48 hours in advance.

After a new outbreak of COVID-19 in Sahab, the government isolated the city starting from Tuesday at 12pm until the health situation is stabilised, Adaileh said.

The curfew hours in Sahab will be from 7pm to 6am.

All private sectors should require all their employees to download Aman mobile application, said Bataineh.

Temporary isolation zones should be allocated inside all private sector facilities, Bataineh added.

Jordan has recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths on Monday. Fifteen recovery cases were recorded.
