Swabs were taken from 15 people who came into contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday in Madaba, said the governor of Madaba, Ali Madi.

The infected person was taken to the isolation areas in the Dead Sea region, said Madi.

The swabs results are expected to be announced on Monday evening, Madi told Roya.

The infected person caught the virus from his work place which is a factory in Amman.

Precautionary measures have been taken which included isolating the house of the infected in al-Rashad area and his brother's house in an eastern neighborhood, Madi added.

Four COVID-19 investigation teams, in addition to eight fixed medical centres, are continuing to conduct random tests in Madaba, which have reached a total of around 11,000, the head of the COVID-19 response team in Madaba, Younis Tellawi, told Roya.
